From the first ring to the backfilled hole
Rather than a list of job titles, here's one call followed all the way through, so you know who's who.
Say you're in Kirkwood and you've noticed a crack running in steps up the brick beside your back door, and the door's started to stick. You call (314) 932-9816 on a Sunday evening.
The phone
An automated assistant picks up. It asks your name, your number and what's going on, reads your number back to be sure, and logs it. Nobody leaves you on hold or sends you to voicemail. If you'd mentioned a wall moving or water pouring in, it would have flagged the call as urgent.
The callback
That same day, a person from our side rings you to pick a time for the inspection and answer anything the assistant couldn't. They'll also tell you which crew is coming.
The inspector
On the day, the inspector walks the outside of the house, measures the floors with a laser level, looks at every crack, checks the basement walls for lean and looks at your gutters and grade. Before leaving, they explain what they think is moving and why, and the written plan with the price follows.
The crew
If you go ahead, the crew lead runs the job: the permit's in hand, the holes are dug, the piers are set and the house is supported, then everything's backfilled and seeded. They walk the finished work with you and re-measure the floor.
The paperwork
Behind the scenes, the permit is filed with the right office, inspections are booked, insurance certificates are kept current and the closed permit is sent to you for your records.
Who these people are
Gateway Foundation Works is run locally in St. Louis, MO. The inspections and repairs are done by independent, insured foundation crews we work with, not by the website's operator, and we tell you who's coming before anything's scheduled. The referral disclosure spells it out, and the about page covers how we work. Want a person on the line at any point? Ask, and someone will call you back.
